Mechanical Engineering Services

Overview

The mechanical services team is led by Jesse Ross, PE. The team is involved with all district plant infrastructure such as chilled water and steam piping design.

What We Do

The mechanical services team designs the distribution system for steam, chilled water, and process water. The most important aspect of system design is reliability, followed closely by efficiency. The campus has miles of underground piping that connects to most buildings on campus. The central loop system allows for steam or water to be transferred to the point of use at the lowest possible cost.

The mechanical services team also works with projects such as the addition of chillers to a facility, building HVAC modifications, building controls, and piping improvements. The team plays a key role in the design and execution of energy conservation projects.
