Electrical Engineering Services

Overview

The electrical engineering services team is led by Art Groover, PE. The team’s primary mission is to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems and equipment across the FSU campus.

What We Do

Electrical system design and planning: Work with other departments and stakeholders to design and plan electrical systems for new construction and renovation projects.

Utility electric system troubleshooting and emergency response: Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages, and provide troubleshooting and diagnostic services to identify and resolve electrical problems.

Electrical safety and code compliance: Ensure that electrical systems and equipment comply with all relevant safety standards and codes and provide training and education on electrical safety to the FSU community.

Energy efficiency and sustainability: Work to identify and implement energy-saving measures and technologies to reduce the university’s energy consumption and carbon footprint.
