Maggie Jones is a Fine Arts Specialist at Master Craftsman Studio, overseeing all the glass projects that adorn Florida State University's campus and private clients' homes, businesses, and organizations. She was passionate about creating from an early age and enjoys the satisfaction of producing something tangible from a simple vision.
She began her journey at Master Craftsman Studio as a volunteer before becoming an official team member in 2020. One of her favorite works is a stained-glass piece she created for the Big Bend Hospice wing at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital (TMH). This piece, which spans an entire wall of the wing's main hallway, is distinctive because it is illuminated by an LED panel instead of relying on sunlight. It provides a warm and welcoming light for visitors and patients during challenging times.
In Maggie's personal work, she tends to lean into functional art, including costumes, clothing, furniture, and housewares. She finds inspiration from pop culture, kitsch, and her sense of humor.
