Larisa, an avid crafter since her youth, learned to throw on a potter's wheel and gained experience in the darkroom at age eleven, developing a penchant for ceramics and photography. Larisa became an intern at Master Craftsman Studio in 2019 as a student at Florida State University. During her internship, Larisa had the opportunity to refine her skills by assisting with constructing a buckyball sculpture in the Chemical Sciences Laboratory (CSL) and creating window torches for the Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Science Building (EOAS).

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and a minor in Geography from FSU in December 2022. Drawing classes in New York inspired Larisa to contact Master Craftsman about volunteering, ultimately leading to her current position as a Studio Artist. Larisa enjoys the design and planning process of making stained glass, collaborating with her colleagues, and utilizing technology in the studio to test the limits of a traditional craft like stained glass.
