John Raulerson is a proud alumnus of both FSU and UGA. After teaching design, fabrication techniques, and foundry operations at universities around the globe, Raulerson joined FSU in 2000 as a sculpture professor and eventually became the Area Head of the FSU Sculpture Department. In 2010, he transitioned to FSU Facilities, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the university’s public sculpture restoration and preservation program, known as the Amenities Crew. Raulerson also spearheaded the successful transition of the Master Craftsman program from an academic unit into a dynamic, hands-on working auxiliary within FSU Facilities. Today, he serves as the program’s director, overseeing both the Amenities Team and the Campus Beautification teams, affectionately known as the A and B teams.
Beyond his professional life, Raulerson cherishes time with his wife Sarah and their two children, Tucker and Mary Ellen. He’s also committed to his community, volunteering with youth organizations in Tallahassee and coaching middle school football at RAA Middle School.
