Fleet Management educates the university community on the Vehicle Management Plan for managing University vehicles. It is designed to enhance vehicle management and is not a centralized fleet management program. Each Vice President is entrusted with ensuring full compliance with the FSU Vehicle Management Program (FVMP) within their respective academic unit or department.

Maintenance and safety inspections of FSU owned vehicles
University-owned vehicles must be maintained promptly, and records of vehicle maintenance and repairs must be tracked and kept in the FSU Facilities Integrated Workplace Management System, AiM.
Transfers/Surplus of FSU Vehicles
University vehicles may be transferred from one department to another within the University System. Policies relating to Location or Department Code Change of Property can be found at 4-OP-D-2-F Property .
Driver’s License verification of employees driving FSU owned vehicles
All departments must have a documented process to ensure that every employee driving FSU-owned vehicles holds a valid driver's license in compliance with OP-C-7-G8 License Requirements for Operating University-Owned Vehicles .
