Space Data Management

Space Data Management is responsible for maintaining the physical plant data and key plans* for Florida State University. The data is maintained in AiM, which is an Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) software from AssetWORKS, and the space data supports many of the facilities management tools in the platform. The AiM application is supported by the AiM Group, which is part of the Facilities Information Technology department.

The space data in AiM updates information in OMNI, Ad Astra (Classroom Management Solution) and E-911 and is the source for reporting to the State University System of Florida, the Florida Facilities Inventory Tracking System, as well as other reports and surveys needed by FSU’s Institutional Research.

*A key plan shows the layout of a building's floor plan, and it includes room numbers which are linked to the data.
