How to surplus an item

  1. Only a FSU Property Manager/Property Custodian   can surplus an item. Conduct an OMNI query FSU_DPT_AM_PROPERTY_ROLES to determine your property manager/custodian or contact the Controller's Office at PAS-PropertyForms@fsu.edu.
  2. You must submit separate requests for capital (valued at $5,000 or more) and non-capital items (valued at $5,000 or more). Multiple items can be listed on the same request.
  3. Approval from the Controller's Office is required for capital items using the Property Accountability Release Form  .

Gov Deals Public Auction

Explore various items available for sale by visiting the current FSU Auctions  . To participate in bidding, you will need to register with GovDeals  .

Powerhouse Data Cleansing

Surplus no longer refurbishes or resells electronics to ensure data security. All e-waste, such as computers and printers, is disposed of through our recycling program, and FSU receives certification for secure destruction from vendors.

Nolenet Community

If you have reusable items for your department, please message the Nolenet community at (nolenet@lists.fsu.edu) and arrange the transfer outside the surplus process. Once electronics enter recycling, they cannot be returned to departments.
