Performs advanced troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of complex building systems, including HVAC, lab, and chiller controls. Handles network diagnostics and communication systems (BACNet, ModBus, KNX, etc.), coordinates with vendors and engineers, and completes maintenance tasks across mechanical, electrical, control, and plumbing systems. Follows safety standards, operates campus vehicles and equipment, documents work using AiM, and provides support across facilities as needed.

Performs campus-wide carpentry and flooring maintenance, including repairing/installing tiles, carpet, cabinets, furniture, doors, and hardware. Assists other trades as needed, performs minor plaster and drywall work, maintains tools and equipment, documents work, and supervises helpers when required.

This position performs skilled concrete carpentry and construction work to support the maintenance and improvement of University buildings, structures, and grounds.

This position assists with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across commercial and campus buildings, including rooftop units, boilers, chillers, and control systems

This role performs campus-wide maintenance and repair work, including floor tile, ceramic tile, and carpet repairs, as well as minor plaster, drywall, carpentry, and general trades tasks.

Use the Facilities Department Work Order Management System and ensure asset information is accurate and current at all times. This involves the collection, creation and management for all assets that are owned by Florida State University and ensuring assets are properly named, grouped, and identified in AIM. Maintains oversight of related activities and collaborates with various members of departments by coordinating activities. Has a basic ability to learn and interpret, and analyze building systems technical drawings/specifications. Ability to collaborate with various teams across the campus community to ensure asset data accuracy. This includes working at properties in various states of a property life cycle. Including by not limited to during new construction, during renovations, owner occupied, during demolition. Field asset collection/accuracy verification can be conducted with but not limited to the usage of ladders, aerial platform lifts, PPE, and other various hand tools. Field collection/accuracy verification at times can be conducted in spaces that are confined, elevated, not under temperature control, and or exposed to exterior elements.

This position will be responsible for various types of Campus Cleanups in an effort to clean up and beautify the Campus at the University. Duties will include Painting, Pressure Washing, Building Condition Inspections, Trash Pick-up, Vehicle Cleaning and relocating Office Furniture and equipment.
