Mechanical Engineer

Provides mechanical engineering services for university facilities, including utility plant systems, HVAC, plumbing, and energy transfer systems, to support renovations and infrastructure upgrades. Develops engineering designs, specifications, and construction documents in compliance with Florida Administrative Code and applicable codes and standards.

Building Automation System Developer

Supports the development and management of the University’s Building Automation System (BAS) technology plan, including campus-wide migration to Siemens Desigo CC, system standards, hardware upgrades, fault detection (FDD), and remote alarming. Develops and maintains BAS applications, dashboards, and integrations using Python, SQL, and JavaScript, while supporting data pipelines and automation frameworks.

Construction Technician

Operates and maintains heavy equipment—including backhoe, trencher, front-end loader, skid steer, and mini excavator—to support construction and maintenance activities. Assists with concrete finishing, form setting, fence installation, street and parking lot repairs, and general carpentry work involving cement, mortar, block, and related materials.

Carpenter

This role serves as a Skilled Carpenter and Multi-Trades Lead, responsible for the construction, installation, and repair of structural fixtures, cabinetry, and furniture across the university. The position balances precision carpentry—such as door hardware installation and framework—with broad facility maintenance, including flooring repairs, plastering, and sheetrock work.

OPS Administrative Associate

This role provides essential administrative and operational support for maintenance shop activities. Key responsibilities include managing departmental payroll and timekeeping records with high precision using AiM and OMNI systems, as well as coordinating work order data entry to ensure seamless maintenance workflows. Additionally, the position serves as a functional link between hiring managers and HR to support recruitment efforts, ensuring the department remains properly staffed and administratively organized.

Painter 1

This role serves as a Lead Painter and Finisher, responsible for the aesthetic and structural maintenance of campus interiors and exteriors. The position manages the entire finishing process—from complex surface preparation (plastering, caulking, and glazing) to the application of specialized coatings like epoxy and waterproofing. Beyond traditional painting, the role handles flooring repairs (ceramic and VCT tile), furniture refinishing, and minor locksmithing.

Electrician 2

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of both high-voltage primary distribution systems and low-voltage building electrical infrastructure within a university setting. The role involves a mix of technical troubleshooting, project oversight, and hands-on installation.
