A central steam pipeline running through campus heats buildings, domestic water and sometimes humidifies a space. Steam can be costly, but savings are achieved by calculating use per building, updating steam traps, eliminating leaks, and modifying processes to use less steam. Additionally, hot water meters measure flow to most air handlers.
