Chilled water is used to cool buildings. We ensure chilled water flows via a central loop system for the three primary chiller plants on campus.

Florida State’s electricity is sourced from the city of Tallahassee and is necessary for essential functions such as lighting, climate control, and powering technology.

Natural Gas is used on campus primarily for central steam production, commercial kitchens, research, and domestic water heating.

SteamSteam
A central steam pipeline running through campus heats buildings, domestic water and sometimes humidifies a space.
