We manage FSU's stormwater system, including retention ponds and conveyances, to meet regulatory compliance standards while ensuring the system efficiently handles stormwater runoff from rain events through preventative maintenance. Utilities & Engineering is committed to educating the community on the steps we have taken to reduce stormwater runoff and pollution. Federal, state, and local governments and agencies regulate stormwater discharge at the university. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection considers Florida State a Phase II Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4).
