The Abatement Shop operates the asbestos operations and maintenance program and is charged with safely identifying and removing asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) when necessary. The shop also investigates and oversees the removal and remediation of suspected mold. The shop often removes ACMs and other materials during campus-wide steam outages and building projects.
