The building automation team is committed to maintaining efficient building control systems and equipment across campus, directly contributing to a comfortable learning environment. Using the Siemens Apogee building automation system, we use over one million points for data collection and over 900 meters to provide accurate, real-time performance data on campus utilities such as electrical, chilled water, and steam. The building automation team can pinpoint maintenance priorities or track the returns of an energy conservation process and can signal individual problems using the Apogee system, which can remotely operate most campus systems.
