The campus water system is separated into domestic water for drinking, cooking, bathing, and cleaning and irrigation water to support our campus landscape. In all cases, our goal is to reduce water usage through the Grounds department's introduction of drought-tolerant, native plants that minimize irrigation and Utilities & Engineering minimizing domestic water usage for cooling process equipment. The campus has installed hundreds of low-water-flow fixtures in most buildings.
