College of Business Busts

Undertaking the production of relief portraits for the FSU College of Business' Wall of Fame was a milestone for MCS. The first three, created in 2012, marked the first time the studio produced finished bronze castings completely in house.

The project is ongoing; annually, the studio receives new photos of those the College wishes to honor. Clay relief sculptures are sculpted from the photographs, and then sand molded and cast in bronze. When finished, the castings are mounted on a plaque, and hung in the foyer of the Rovetta Business Building on FSU campus.

Master craftsman Charlie sculpts this unfinished clay model. Once finished, this model will be used to cast a bust.
