Coordinates project planning, communication, and collaboration with stakeholders, design professionals, consultants, contractors, and vendors.

Leads quality assurance, compliance, and technical standards for PD&C by developing and implementing a comprehensive Quality Management Plan, including commissioning processes for building systems. Reviews project designs, specifications, and construction activities to ensure compliance with campus standards, building codes, and industry best practices

Serves as the primary administrative contact for the PD&C office, providing executive support to the Chief of Construction and Director of Project Management. Manages office operations including calls, correspondence, calendars, project requisitions, and website and SharePoint updates. Oversees administrative processes, contract compliance tracking, and documentation related to project bidding, amendments, change orders, and project close-out.

Florida State University is seeking a University Architect & Director of In-House Design, a senior leadership role responsible for guiding the planning and design of the university’s physical environment. This position leads the In-House Design team within Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) and serves as the university’s chief architectural authority.

Provides comprehensive administrative and project support to the Planning, Design & Construction unit in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment. Manages and maintains project documentation throughout the full project lifecycle, including budgets, bids, contracts, change orders, compliance records, and close-out documents, ensuring adherence to University policies and regulatory requirements. Coordinates meetings and facilitates communication between University departments, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
