With over 40 years of experience, Karen Pritzl is a stained-glass artist who joined Master Craftsman Studio (MCS) in 2015. Initially brought in to assist with a project, Pritzl quickly fell in love with the studio’s collaborative energy and creative possibilities. It wasn’t long before MCS became her artistic home, where she’s been able to push the boundaries of stained-glass art while sharing her passion for the craft with others.

One of Pritzl’s most memorable and rewarding projects was working on the windows at the Heritage Museum of Dodd Hall. The project allowed Pritzl and her team to experiment with new processes, creating windows that are rich in texture and depth, and elevating the storytelling through stained glass. Collaborating with fellow master craftsmen pushes Pritzl to constantly raise the bar for herself, encouraging her to take her work to the next level. Outside of MCS, Pritzl continues to explore new creative avenues in her private studio.
