Dittmer Chemistry Lab Construction Project Begins Tuesday, April 1, 2025

FSU has received funding to address deferred maintenance and capital renewal needs associated with the Dittmer Building. Starting Tuesday, April 1, 2025, the first phase of work associated with the roof and exterior stairs will begin.

The main entry on the eastside of the building will remain open, the stairs will be available for emergency egress and access to the loading dock will be restricted. Deliveries to the loading dock will need to be coordinated through the contractor, Ajax Construction. See attached graphic for alternative paths around the site.

This is the first phase of a significant upgrade to the Dittmer Building. It is anticipated that the Dittmer Building will be closed for further remodeling by August 2025. More details will be shared as they become available.
