FSU Facilities Launches Code Administration & Fire Safety Department with New Director: Rocky Wilde

FSU Facilities is excited to announce the launch of its Code Administration & Fire Safety Department. Under the leadership of AVP and Chief Facilities Officer Zach Newswanger, the Building Code and Fire Safety groups will now be consolidated under one department within Facilities. 

With the establishment of this new department, Rocky Wilde will serve as the first Director of the newly restructured Code Administration & Fire Safety Department. Rocky began his career at FSU in 2024 as a Deputy Building Official and quickly advanced to Interim Building Official. 

Rocky has more than 35 years of construction industry experience, including nine years as a building inspector. He is a Certified Building Official and a Certified Fire Inspector. As a lifelong Seminoles fan, he is excited to continue supporting the FSU campus and mentoring his staff as the university grows and technology advances.
