Project Description

The project consisted of the design and construction of approximately 62,000 gsf of renovated space and 34,000 gsf of new space at Ruby Diamond Auditorium in the Westcott Building. The project renovated Ruby Diamond Auditorium, transforming it into a premier performance hall (now known as Ruby Diamond Concert Hall). All major building systems were upgraded, and acoustics and audience chamber architecture were addressed. Pedestrian access was enhanced, and a covered drop-off area and nearby handicapped parking were provided.

An addition to the west provided additional space in the back of house. An addition to the north provided a multi-purpose space which also serves as a rehearsal hall. as well as additional office space. The lobby space serving the auditorium was increased and improved. The Westcott occupants displaced by the lobby expansion were relocated to office space in the new north addition.

Project Status

North Expansion (new construction) –This portion of the project was substantially complete on 12/16/09.

Hall/Lobby (renovation/addition) – The Certificate of Occupancy was issued and Substantial Completion was achieved on 9/10/10.
