PLANNING AND SPACE MANAGEMENT
Serving the University as a section within the Department of Facilities, Planning and Space Management is involved with the physical plant from conception to construction, and from completion to demolition - and then some.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and Space Management is made up of three areas - planning, space management, and document management. However, what we do extends outward and is more fluid then what these 'boxed' areas names indicate. Some of our responsibilities are
| - | The Campus Master Plan |
| - | The development of building programs |
| - |
Staff support to the CDSC (Campus Development and Space Committee) |
| - |
The university's physical facilities inventory database (a/k/a University Space Management System or USMS) |
| - |
Room numbering, classification and coding of room use, occupants, and ownership |
| - | The offical Campus Map |
| - |
Reference drawings of all buildings on campus (also known as Key Plans) |
| - | All archival material related to the physical plant |
| - | Educational Plant Survey |
| - |
Updating and maintain various reports (official and informational) as related to the physical plant |
| - |
Collecting and maintaining data to support other University and Municipal authorities computer systems |
