A/C and Controls Shop

The A/C and Controls Shop handles all refrigeration repairs on all sizes and kinds of equipment, from table top refrigerators to building chillers, as well as scientific equipment.

The A/C and Controls Shop also installs new refrigeration equipment, as well as installing temporary air conditioning/heating for critical areas where there may be an outage of the building's system.

The shop also handles the recovery of refrigerants from units that are being disposed of. This shop also has a person on staff to ensure compliance with Federal EPA regulations regarding proper recordkeeping, recovery, and handling of refrigerents.

The A/C and Controls Shop is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of building environmental system controls throughout the entire FSU campus. This includes maintaining temperature & humidity control of classrooms, labs, and offices to provide a safe and comfortable environment for students and staff.
